FIESTA is a small restaurant on the first floor of an unmarked building close to Santosh Jora Bridge, beside CCD. Immaculately done interiors done in white and grey, with a vibrant blue wall to break the monotony, a fresh rose on the table , a minimalistic stairway in brown and glass walls welcoming natural light this restaurant impressed me with its simplicity and cleanliness. Nilanjan our server for the day was diligent and friendly.
Fiesta means celebration or festival and that is how I recall my experience here. Before a Food Bloggers Meet at a local home baker’s house I stepped into Fiesta for a quick lunch with a bunch of friends. Well, it wasn’t a ‘quick’ lunch, and we spent hours chatting, leg pulling, joking and eating. The staff was attentive the entire time. Kudos Guys!!
REASONS TO VISIT:
#One of the best Chinese Restaurants in Santoshpur
#Top-Notch Quality
#Great Service
MUST TRY:
#Virgin Mojito
#Oyster Fish
#Mixed Hakka Noodles
Come RUN THE FOODATHON with me!
MOCKTAILS:
#Virgin Mojito : It wasn’t fizzy as expected of a Virgin Mojito but I loved its taste. It was appropriately sweet with lots of lemon and mint leaves creating a perfect blend. I would just suggest them to change their soda and the Virgin Mojito will be top notch.
#Virgin Pinacolada : A bright looking drink predominantly in white and yellow. It was creamy and tasted good.
FOOD:
#Chicken Steamed Momo with Soup: The steamed momo had good portion of minced chicken, it tasted okish, the soup was bad. In entirety I found the dish to be overpriced.
#Oyster Fish: Excellent quality of Fish. Well, I’m a pure Bengali and Love fish to the core. This dish totally won my heart and left me wanting more. I loved the spiciness that the oyster sauce had to offer.
#Mixed Young Chow Fried Rice: Presentation was perfect. Simple everyday white fried rice with one blackened egg cut into two halves giving the dish a innovative flare. The blackened eggs peeked the interest of the inquisitive Gemini in me. I loved the concept. But when it came to the rice it tasted bland. Addition of some more flavors will really improve the dish.
#Mixed Hakka Noodles: The was another oldie but goodie. The portion of veggies and chicken were reasonable. It went well with the fish.
My experience at Fiesta was a mixed bag. Here is wishing the team ‘Cheers’ for their efforts!! Hope to see you improve over time.
